After spending 25 years in corporate America, Roni Chambers became, what she prefers to CEO, a Possibilitarian. With plenty of experience under her belt, she decided to turn around and help others navigate their way through this thing we call life.
In 2010 after a successful career in Human Resources with Anheuser-Busch, Roni became a Certified Coach Practitioner. She assumed the role of Volunteer Executive Director at Go! Network, a 501c3 whose mission is to assist professionals in career transition with finding their next role. In 2013, Roni followed her passion and created Career Innovation Partners, coaching people on a more intentional and meaningful career transition/development path, starting in the rearview mirror.
In an industry that thrives on innovation it’s important to know who you are. At MDMC Roni hosted 3 sessions on being “The CEO of You” and discussed how to build a value proposition. As someone who changed careers later in life, she provided wisdom on how to compete with younger graduates, as well as, how to market yourself as a graduate, reaching every age range of the audience.
Her and Jeff had a chance to sit down at the conference to discuss the importance of building your own brand, staying up to date on the market, how to reverse engineer your life to find a job that will fit, and what current companies are doing to promote growth and health for their employees. Roni shares her personal experiences from when the market crashed in 2008, and what came as a result of that in her career. Jeff also shares a story from his youth exemplifying the idea that we don’t change, we simply grow up.
