Alex Elting, Software Developer
Alex Elting is a Software Development Consultant for AJi who specializes in solving complex software problems for clients.
“I like writing software and learning new technologies,” Alex said. “My favorite thing is writing complex algorithms that create something really cool when they’re finished.”
Alex previously worked as a software consultant in Kansas City, where he gained extensive experience with ASP, .Net, SQL, C#, Windows Server, and scrum-style project management. He’s also worked with C, C++, Python, and PHP—and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Kansas.
His favorite project so far? Developing a new content management system for the Kauffman Foundation. The system allows academics and thought leaders across the globe to collaborate on different topics related to entrepreneurship. He designed the database, back-end code, and business logic for the project, then later integrated the content with the client’s web framework in SiteCore.
“Before any project is done, it’s so important to thoroughly test it,” he said. “We always make sure that it meets the customer’s standards.”
Alex was raised in Olathe, Kansas, and currently lives in Lawrence, Kansas. In his spare time, he enjoys learning about remote control airplane drones, playing video games, and riding his bike.
“I like working at AJi because we’re constantly learning new technologies,” he said. “We’re really big on that here.”
